ANSI logo

ANSI Z136 Laser Safety Standards

ANSI Z136 standards require appropriate warning signs and labels to identify laser hazards, communicate access restrictions, and support safe operation within laser controlled areas. Proper signage is an important component of an effective laser safety program.

ANSI Z535 Warning Sign Format

ANSI Z535 establishes requirements for the design, format, and presentation of safety signs and labels. Laser warning signs utilize standardized signal words, colors, symbols, and messaging to help communicate hazards clearly and consistently.

Laser Labels & Equipment Identification

Laser labels provide information regarding laser classification, wavelength, output characteristics, and hazard warnings. Proper labeling supports equipment identification, regulatory compliance, and safe operation throughout the life of the laser system.
