Description

205 Glass laser safety window filter was primarily developed for protection from multiple lasers wavelengths: Diode, Nd:YAG, Er:YAG, Ho:YAG, CO2 (980 nm, 1064 nm, 2780 nm, 2100 nm, 2940 nm, 10,600 nm). This laser protective window may provide protection from other laser wavelengths not listed. Please see specifications for additional information about the laser protective filter, or contact us. Filter specifications are permanently engraved. These laser safety window meet and/or exceed US ANSI Z136 standards for use with lasers.

Optical Density: is a measure of the transmittance of an optical element for a given length at a given wavelength. The higher the optical density, the lower the transmittance of light at a specified waveleng. See the ANSI Z136 for more information about OD and laser windows.

VLT (Visible Light Transmission):

VLT: The attenuation of light by a filter in the visible spectrum. VLT is determined in relation to standard illumination and evaluated according to the daylight-adapted (photopic) or night-adapted (scotopic) conditions descriped more in the ANSI Z136.7 for Testing and Labeling of Laser Protective Equipment. The lower the VLT, the less "visible" light is transmitted. Laser windows may affect the ability to see warning lights/signs or distinguis between colors.
