Eyewear often protect from more than just one range and sometimes range is within a range. Take for example our 125 filter:
We mark these both with an OD 7+ @ 190-385nm and with an OD 5+ @ 855-1085nm. Both ranges offer protection (different levels). Furthermore, we also mark within the 855-1085nm -- specifically an OD 8+ @ 980nm and an OD 6+ @ 1064nm. Each range or wavelength is stated with the minimum optical density over that range.
